Silvicultural/Certification FORESTER
Wagner Forest NS Ltd. is seeking a motivated individual to manage all aspects of the planting, pre-commercial thinning and herbicide projects on our Nova Scotia lands. The position will require managing submission of credits to Registered Buyers under the Forest Sustainability Regulations.
Additional responsibilities will include management of WFNS’s participation in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification program. Involving the implementation of the program, ensuring adherence to the standards and continuous improvement.
Applicants should have a diploma or degree in forestry or an equivalent discipline.Previous forestry related experience would be preferred. Strong people, oral and written communication skills will be an asset in this position.
